They need to get over themselves.
They're all at it. Ferrari had a massive cover for their diffuser as soon as the car got near to their garage. Unfortunately, the teams don't seem to have realised that people have been taking pictures right left and centre as the cars go down the pitlane and when they're on track. Apparently. It's possible to take quite a detailed picture even when a car is at speed.

Virgin was mega slow, I hope that it was just a system's check and not any type of meaningful indication of their pace or lack thereof.

Also, I think running in the rain is important as it better illustrates the aerodynamic efficiency of cars. All it takes is some clever interpretation of the data.

At least someone found the weather suitable for testing.

Well, if you are a good photographer, you'll most certainly position yourself in a decent place. In a bright sunny day, you can basically use a shutter speed of 1/400s at ISO 100 (film sensitivity) at an f/8 aperture.

If you now are given a Nikon D3s plus a 600mm f/4 (OK, it costs £8.000), you'll be able to take (equivalent exposure!) a very detailed picture at ISO 3200, f/4 and... 1/51200s! Yes, amazing.

With the current digital cameras, given a proper lens, achieving the fastest shutter speed of about 1/4000s should be a non-issue in a normal day. That is if your only goal is freezing motion, of course. Any good photographer worth his weight will be able to take decent pictures at the diffuser if given access to the track.

If we add to this that teams usually test starts, and that cars often stop at the end of the pitlane... I'd bet that even I could photograph a diffuser correctly given a decent equipment.
I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.

According to my fairly basic number of teams devided by distance times laps ratio, all the engines are all pretty much simmilar in relyability.

And looking at the data in a "equivelency" way, i have no worries over the Cosworth CA2010 units as they are looking to be better than the Renault RS27.

So far i have this:

Mercedes FO108X = Teams: 3, Distance: 3090.240, Laps: 751 - Ratio: 0.729%
Renault RS27-2010 = Teams: 2, Distance: 1261.431, Laps: 310 - Ratio: 0.492%
Ferarri 056 = Teams: 3, Distance: 4309.281, Laps: 1052 - Ratio: 0.732%
Cosworth CA2010 = Teams: 5*, Distance: 1758.159, Laps: 426 - Ratio: 1.211%

* = I have included Lotus, USF1 and Campos in this figure as they are the confirmed Cosworth using entries for 2010 at current. Hence why ratio may be higher, but using 2 teams the Ratio is 0.485% and if i take it as 3 teams, the ratio is 0.727%.

That's confusing me. What is the ratio illustrating?

Im using Williams own timing, shame it doesn't sort by fastest or provide number of lapps, better than nothing tho. :)
