well.....for each of these team's car's thread... most of the viewers should probably be the team's hardcore fansallan wrote:LOLD'Leh wrote:And who's word is that? Yours? Excuse me, but what's your point? Late last year the Austrian team was dominating with wins from Suzuka to Abu Dhabi. So if they build up on their car how is that bad? And besides, how long have you been following F1? Do you really think the car will look the same in Bahrain? Seems to me as if you're just trying to pull someone's leg with your wild guesses. Please do that in some random thread in general discussions. Thank you.Diesel wrote:Word is RB where to conservative in their design, they're a test behind everyone else with lots of speed to find. Why are you biting the guy's head off? He's just stating an opinion
I... don't know. These kind of "opinions" just seem so provocative. I mean he pulled it right out of his bottom and it's completely unsubstantial. I don't understand why people post stuff like that in a thread about the technical details of a particular car. Sorry if I came across rude.allan wrote:LOL

How can you know how fast a car can go if you don't push it? Are you saying the teams sand bag on purpose and hold say erm... 6 tenths (nice number) in the bag which they know they can do? That idea is laughable.segedunum wrote:Diesel wrote:Word is RB where to conservative in their design, they're a test behind everyone else with lots of speed to find. It would be nice to know what this is based on apart from extreme wishful thinking, but I'm not hopeful.
Well said!christopher.mahlon wrote:Diesel, I think the issue others took was that you said, "Word is..." without ever quoting a "word" from anyone. You've used this last post to talk about their time gap, fair enough. String together some quotes from the team to make your case. Otherwise it isn't "Word is...", its "The time sheet says..." One has grounding in fact and can be verified, the other is baseless rumouring.
Mark Webber has given an upbeat verdict on Red Bull’s new car after its first two days of running at Jerez.
The Australian gave the RB6 its track debut on Wednesday and had his first opportunity to evaluate the car in dry conditions on Thursday, completing 100 laps.
Although he didn’t set any attention-grabbing lap times, Webber is convinced Adrian Newey’s latest creation will stand Red Bull in good stead this season as it attempts to improve on its runner-up finish in last year’s championship.
“It’s been a very productive two days,” he said.
“We’ve had a few little niggles here and there with reliability, but despite that we’ve managed to complete quite a few laps with the new car.
“We’ve had one wet and one dry day and learned a lot on both.
“We’ve still got quite a bit of testing to go before we get to Bahrain, which we’re going to need to continue to understand the car and keep finding performance.
“But I’d say we’re off to a pretty solid start and we’ve got a great base to build on.”
Given the extreme limits of fuel loads everyone can be running that measure in seconds not tenths, the fact that McLaren are off trying to find.....something and teams like Red Bull have only just started doing installation laps then yes. We'll obviously know more as the tests progress.Diesel wrote:How can you know how fast a car can go if you don't push it? It depends under what circumstances. Fast with 70 kilos of fuel or fast with 20? You're trying to compare relatively where we have no idea if things actually are relative right now.Let's look at things in more simple terms... the whole idea of a racing car is for it to go fast right? So when you test it... you'd test it goes fast... no?
It would be nice to actually bring some reason to that debate every once in a while. And to the rest of you... so your saying anyone who is going to post anything that is in anyway negative should just leave? ...hopes and dreams don't win races.
I think what you're seeing there is the upper element of the front wing.ISLAMATRON wrote:

James Allen has got nothing better to do and speculate... the man needs a job...segedunum wrote:James Allen certainly believes there is a certain amount of sandbagging going on right now, and he at least has his ear to the ground.Diesel wrote:How can you know how fast a car can go if you don't push it? not at all... there is something there under the nose, either a splitter or an elongated keelchristopher.mahlon wrote:I think what you're seeing there is the upper element of the front wing.ISLAMATRON wrote:

Nothing under there. Have a look at other shots.ISLAMATRON wrote:not at all... there is something there under the nose, either a splitter or an elongated keelchristopher.mahlon wrote:I think what you're seeing there is the upper element of the front wing.ISLAMATRON wrote:
