Time differences are in relation to the previous lap. For clarity :)

They may have also been scrubbed as there should be about 3 or four lap times similar to the first. Unless as I stated earlier they are actually trying to conserve them (radio lap two) "take it easy "baby""
Although this is just speculation!

EDIT: Added Engines.
Other than STR and Ferrari themselves, who else is running Ferrari engines?

Today's running

Rosberg and Button do a lot of long running with some pretty good times. Button sets low time at the end of a long run while Rosberg is obviously on a qualifying run in the morning and in the afternoon.

Buemi also seems to do a pretty solid program. The Toro Rosso looks ok in race trim.

Sorry, I added a copyright hint to respect the Greek web site doing the data capturing. The old graph got deleted. If you quoted the URL please adjust to new URL. http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/4729 ... 00227u.png

Thanks. I was getting confused as to how the Ferrari engine was doing so many miles...

Surprisingly strong race sim from Buemi. Powerful ones from Massa and Button, too; though it looks like Button got the better of Massa in the last stint in particular. Hard to say about Rosberg - good times, but not nearly as consistent as the others.

I think Button may have come in for tyres during that stint while Massa stayed out on one set. I think this might explain Button's jump in speed towards the end of the stint. It's a shame the pit-ins and pit-outs are not recorded.

I think the Toro Rosso is faster than the RedBull. On the graph Buemi's long stint was right down there with Massa's.

Come to think of it, they have the best of both worlds; RedBull body and Ferrari engine.

But the Toro Rosso will carry more fuel.

True - Button did three fairly equal stints, whereas Massa did a short-long-short. Net result was Button up by 17+ seconds, so not a bad day for McLaren fans.

It's the most realistic comparison we've seen to date, but there's still much to see, I think. More bits for McLaren, an entirely new aero package for Merc, etc. Plus we had the B teams today.

Red Bull has also been known to hide their speed in testing. I wouldn't count them out.

The torro rosso had a good amount of fuel though, it hung on to the ferrari for over 30 laps(?) pretty impressive.

The articles from various websites I've been reading seem to think the STR5 is a pretty swift car, today Buemi had a very impressive stint matching Massa at times so who knows they could surprise a few people in Bahrain. By the way have any of you read this piece http://translate.google.co.uk/translate ... l=de&tl=en

Quite interesting I know some of you may say it's just BS but it makes me feel good about this season.
