Ferrari F10

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

With the added lateral element in the shape of a semi circle just below the tail light shown in this picture, could this be defined as a triple deck diffuser?

It might not be "just" you since others say they have problems, but all the pictures show up just fine when I look.

Look closely at the right rear tire it is not symetrical in it's entirty from one side of the outside wing mount to the inside.
Plus the entire picture is in a white background.
Check it out!
With that I'll belt-up, a bit of a waffle this is. Besides, I need to go spend a penny!

Man... you should put more tobacco and less substance... The rear full wet rain tires surface is like that and the background is white because the picture is highly exposed...

Ok Bernie, but I don't use substance, alcohol included.
And you shouldn't be trying to push tobacco on forum members. :o

Yeh, it looks to me like a legal carbon fibre "frisbee". You know how on the new front rims poeple have been debating their legality. To me this is perfectly legit...they have the design of the old carbon covers from last year and before, but now they are part of the wheel, and made of the same material (The wheel must be made of one homogenous material etc etc)

To me, these are an ingenious (but also obvious) solution.

Here is one from just above this post.

I have been puzzled by the thick outside walls of the diffusers on all the cars (some are considerably thicker than this). I appreciate that honeycomb makes the thickness and it makes it rigid. The new Ferrari one simply looks like what I expected them to look like.

It's not that the walls are thick. Those are vertical fences on the diffuser.
