Now I know this post by far isn't as interesting as some of the beauties in this thread, but since some people were still wondering which teams used the mahle pistons, why not?
An update at the Mahle website (
link) states that:
"Seven victories in the 2009 season and a total of 387.5 out of 643.5 possible points in the team classification are an impressive balance of the year."
The site doesn't say "pistons" in stead of "Motorsports components", but one may assume that whenever any team uses Mahle parts on their engine, they are sure as hell going to use Mahle pistons as well imho
.
A quick look at the '09 championship shows that there is only one possible combination of teams that can achieve that combination of points and race victories.
Those teams being: RBR, Ferrari, Toyota, BMW, Williams, Renault, STR.
Obviously leaving the three Mercedes-driven teams (Mclaren, BrawnGP, Force India) as the only non-Mahle engines, as Edis already mentioned previously in this thread.
