Williams FW32 Cosworth

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Ditto...however Sam M has said the cars were slightly crippled in Bahrain and Melbourne should be much better.

Here's hoping he's right. 1sec off the F10 is too much for a clean sheet.

We can only hope that the team can turn this car into a more competitive racer. The weekend did come across as a bit of a shambles.

New exhaust outlets on the Williams

Why the big dip? it's kind of like the FI last year when they took an ice-cream scoop to the side of their car. Will it just fill with exhaust gases and create a sort-of barrier, leaving the aero, for the most part, unaffected?

was that originally 2 intakes?
If so, I wonder how making it into a single intake would be better.

...what is "williams hybrid power"

KERS? why would they be advertising their own KERS?

It is their own hybrid kinetic/eletric KERS system, which they are trying to license to other automotive manufacturers ... Williams are trying to generate an alternative revenue stream because they're making a loss in F1.

Just a thought. Most gear-shift mechanisms are powered by hydraulics these days. Could our gear-shift problems be related to a hydraulics problem with the car?
Williams and proud of it.
