Watch here, around 2:00
http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/categ ... 67QmBzjet4
tell me how many times Massa moved
also check Lewis eyes as he clearly can't judge distances
if that is the grainy footage you watch the races in no wonder you have the wrong perspective on everything.

Massa moved over on Lewis as lewis was making his move that is called Blocking, especially since Lewis moved first and Massa moved as a responce and chopped him, breaking off a piece of the front wing.

Maybe they should go back to the knife edged front wing that would cut down a rear wing in such instances, but then Webbo would mess up even more drivers races since he is always running up the back of everyone.

Lewis's warning was for dangerous driving, I believe, not unsportsman like driving. But enough of that. All-in-all another barn burner performance from Lewis, cool. Too bad about Alonso. I suspect his engine just had enough of the jerking from his drivetrain. He said it was the hardest race of his life. I'd have been so frustrated with that problem.

Good race from Vettel and Webber. Good race from Red Bull for that matter. Hard work paid off. But I don't think that Red Bull is unbeatable so they need to keep on top of things. I am so impressed with Sutil and Force India. I was impressed with his driving from last year. So, I still think he'll make it to the podium before this season's out.

Petrov's a pretty impressive driver too. In the beginning I had no expectations about him. But I think I'll keep a bit more of an eye on his racing the rest of the season. I really hope Renault can give Kubica a bit more of a competitive car. Damn, he's just nine points down. I think that Kubica can, and will make Renault a top contender again.

I'm starting to enjoy this season a lot more. These races are getting better all the time and I hope Shanghai will be just as eventful.

I recorded the whole race. Maybe I would upload a snipped.

Massa was driving straight when Lewis made his move.

What are you on about on Massa? Can anyone give me the approx lap/time of the race when that happened? I'd like to see that.

What's wrong with these penalty pushers?
Even Ray admitted he enjoyed The BOSS drive.
Just because Alonso went out and Shumacher, some want to pull down as much drivers as they can to even the score.
Why aren't we discussing Vettel's much clearer infringement? His is more critical, after all he won the race.

Another thing about petrov, why Lewis was no penalized, Petrov did not complain and was quite happy with the driving. He clearly was in on the fun and did not feel he was being blocked.
You can't be blocked if a path is open to you. That is not blocking by any means, and some are ignoring the who moves first aspect of it.
Secondly, petrov was doing some illegal blocking himself, if we look earlier in the race. He was doing this on the back stretch and in the hairpin.

Let's talk more about Webber in the press conference.
For Sure!!

Ejem, sorry to interrupt the exchange. Hamilton vs. Petrov:

I'll leave it to everyone's tinted glasses to judge whether Petrov was close or not and whether he ever got parallel while attempting a pass.
While you are at it, have a quick go at Pitagoras to estimate the amount of extra meters Hamilton covered.

Webbo looked like he almost dropped that heavy & sharp trophy on the prime ministers head... would have not been good.

I think webbo was more tired than anything.

As an aside I think Webbo would do better against Vettle in the old V-10's with a much higher power to weight ratio... or maybe Vettle would still whoop his ass... honestly I didnt see Vettle domination over Webbo coming... that kid's --- is sharp.

The rules state that a driver can make ONE change of position to defend their position. Hamilton made FIVE whilst Petrov was right up his chuff (in racing terms).

Whether or not Petrov was hindered is not the issue though. The issue is that a driver was driving erratically and in a dangerous way. I strongly suspect if it had been any other driver they would have had a drive through.

Johnny Herbet is a keen supporter of the British drivers, particularly Hamilton therefore is not impartial. This is something I feared would happen when the FIA annouced this scheme of having former drivers as race stewards. Whilst I think Jean Todt is the right man for the head of the FIA, I can't help but feel that he has had a lapse of his senses with this one.

Well Ringo, in the same video I (also objectively) see Petrov barely 2 meters behind, using the slipstream at medium speed to not lag behind Hamilton which would otherwise have been much faster in the straight. I see Hamilton trying to break the tow and at the same time making it clear that there won't be much space left nor right, not above or below should it be necessary. Then I see Petrov finally being able to use the slipstream only once the speed was high enough and I can imagine him being very terrified by then. I also see Hamilton choosing sides then, at the braking area, when for all other driver that have used their defensive move, the choice of sides has to be made in the middle of the straight.

But, well, we are seeing the very same video, so we are obviously both right. :)

...anyway.

My driver of the day was Alonso. I can't believe he was able to be that competitive with a malfunctioning clutch and basically force the gears to engage with some crude mid-corner rev matching.

Other mentions go to Hamilton for giving us 20 pages of debate, picking his way through 8 cars of the start line, overtaking a whole bunch more over the next few laps and getting some points from a 20th grid slot. Massa also made up the same number of places, without being quite as spectacular, and aided by Buttons tyres going off towards the end and Alonso's troubles, but still well worth a mention.

Also well done to Kubica for the big points haul again, bearing in mind I thought this would be a terrible year for Renault based on testing pace and reduced budget. And a final well done to Sutil for finally turning his quali performance into points and Hulkenberg for getting his first batch of points.

Does anyone else believe his engine failure was related to his gear box problem?....Or has this already been covered?...appologies if it has...!!

Geez, man. If you're going to exaggerate then have some balls about it. Go ahead and say he made FIFTEEN. You've really got your panties in a wad over something pretty minor.

Getting very sick of his finger sticking up when he wins/pole. Hope Webber gets next redbull win if we have to have another!

I did luv how Webbo banged out a 1:30.054 on lap 53 just to rub the other teams faces in how fast the RB6 is! =D>
1:37.054. The Red Bull is fast, but not that fast.
