Robert had old wing:
Vitaly probably tested the new one:
My shabby translation:Q: Czy pracujecie nad własną wersją kanału F, wygaszającego tylne skrzydło?
A: Zespół pracuje, ale sądzę, że mamy większe priorytety. Ten system, jeśli działa, to na pewno daje przewagę. Sądzę, że w naszym przypadku jest trochę więcej komplikacji w porównaniu do innych samochodów.
Q: Are you working on your own version of the F-Duct?
A: The team is working on it, but we also have other priorities. If this system actually works, it will give us a decent advantage. However, we may have more problems with using the device than some of the other teams.
It's great fail, when team has to develop something banned from next year... DDD and F-duct I mean....Blackout wrote:Yes, Renault's F-duct is almost ready to be used; Boullier said (before Barcelona) it's 70% complete and works very well...
Given that they probably don't have the resources of the top teams and the F-duct is only going to give a clear advantage at certain tracks (and it is banned for next season) then I think he's right. Besides, the straight line speed of that Renault doesn't look bad at all without any F-duct or blown wing.raymondu999 wrote:Eric Boullier has said it won't put resources to the F-duct. I think Renault are more on an "upgrade every race" rather than "massive upgrades at Barcelona" strategy though.
