I agree for the most part. Nice pictures, and thanks for that, but with showing Alonso's floor, its slightly excessive that you've posted almost every time step of 1 second when 1 picture was clear as the next ;-)!

But as I said, greatful for the pictures, but maybe tone down, as I agree with Miguel, the scrolling is a tad annoying.

I'm not worried about Bernie's cash in the least. But I am tired of an endless scroll through thousands of pictures of little artistic value. It could hurt my finger. It's also not the optimal way to spend my bandwidth.

I also don't get the point you are trying to make with those pictures, other than you owning a DVR or a TiVo and that you pay for Skysports HD. Cool, because the broadcasting sign is perfectly sharp, but the rest of the image shows the crappy broadcast we suffer. No, really. I understand posting (once) the pictures of Alonso's crash. But I don't understand the point of several random images out of Q3. Anyway, it could be just me.

Now, if you excuse me, I'll waste some broadmand skyping with my girlfriend.
I have binned a few of the underside pics. I made several to give a better opportunity to study the floor.

I certainly will not make the effort of making screen shots, hosting them and posting them if the majority of people feel they don't have the bandwidth to look at them. But most people were asking for pics. I don't usually make an additional effort to review them for artistic quality though. Are you having a bad day?

Yes, a bad day after Alonso crashed. Too painful to see the Ferrari in the air so many times.
It also hurts me a bit, but don't take him seriously, Whiteblue. I love the pictures.

For tomorrow, Alonso shall have a most heroic race to climb up to 12th and then crash, I am afraid. I guess they are building the T-car overnight, is he then allow to change the set-up and maybe start with a rain set-up? Even then, too many cars to pass without crashing, even for him.

And a last comment. The Renault engines are down something like 30HP. Suuuure! :?

Don't be over-sensitive WhiteBlue. Miguel has fair point here. Too much is simply too much for some bandwidth or computers (mine too). Just make some selection and post without redundancy. 22 pictures each approximately 200k in one post it is a lot. Your effort is appreciated, just try to understand other point of view.

30 ? surely not... maybe 10 or 15... but they have much torque and very good driveability and nimbleness...

Well I hope Webber can pull off the win here. It would be killer after his great drive there for Williams when it's Cossie overheated. Go Webbo!

Actually, those with the crashed Ferrari are the most informative ones. Having occurred in FP3, more people have missed that. But the others... I mean, I saw almost no informative value.

WB's last picture batch is:
  • Kubica approaching Ste Devote
  • Hamilton doing a slow lap approaching Ste Devote
  • Kubica approaching Ste Devote
  • Rosberg crossing the start-finish line (approaching Ste Devote)
  • Button in perhaps Anthony Nogues (all blurry)
  • Button exiting la Rascasse
  • Hamilton approaching la Rascasse
  • Hamilton approaching Ste Devote
  • Aerial shot of perhaps Hamilton approaching the Casino. I suppose WB is trying to show how weird the standings were with just 2 minutes to go.
  • Hamilton approaching Ste Devote (yes)
  • Vettel almost losing the back end going into the nouvelle chicane
  • Kubica exiting Anthony Nogues (the camera man managed to get even Kubica blurry)
  • Vettel approaching Ste Devote (having run out of time)
  • Alonso thinking "I'm an idiot, I could have easily challenged for the pole"
  • Webber approaching parc fermé
  • Alonso still thinking "I'm an idiot, I could have easily challenged for the pole"
  • Webber not trying to win a beauty contest
  • Gerhard, Nick and someone else probably wondering why Nico wasn't higher up
  • Gerhard disappointed because Nico's Q2 time was better than his Q3 one (worth of one place and the clean side).
  • Press conference
  • Press conference take 2
  • Kubica chewing gum in the press conference
Is this a lot of effort? I'm sure it is. Unless you own a server, I'm sure that even uploading the pictures is boring. However, I feel that in this case the same information would have been transmitted with just 4 pictures. To be honest, what he's posted is exactly the same as we saw in the official broadcast, which means that the TV director sucked, and he sucked hard.

I frequent a photography oriented site, and one of the forums has a "Wednesday picture" thread. Many guys there are really good photographers, and have different interests, which guarantees you will see variety. One of their challenges is getting people to upload the smallest picture that is still representative of the quality of the picture.

Being grumpy, with a cold, and scrolling through the same pictures over and over again, with really little value may I add, got into my nerves. And in my case it's not really a lack of bandwidth. If you can see the high-quality BBC feed fine, those few pictures will hardly affect you.

PS: Sorry about the lengthy post with little information.
I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.

All right Miguel, I think WB already understood your point. No need to bash him just because he wanted to show the action for those who couldn't watch the Quali.

That's fine. We should actually blame Bernie, for:
  • Taking down almost all F1 content
  • Having the shittiest broadcast of all major racing series*
  • Not putting some decent highlights in a timely fashion in the official F1 site
* Actually I was watching the Giro d'Italia and I must say I wasn't impressed by the least. As cool as it was watching the riders fight the mud and the elements, the broadcaster could have put a bit more effort with the information. Like maybe show the distance between Vinokourov and Basso.

EDIT: Yes, it seems I'm not in the mood today.

Any guesses how Alonso will come through the field. We haven't seen any crazy strategies this season but I actually think he should pit in after first lap and do the rest of the race without stopping.
