Red Bull RB6

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Goes to show that the engines can still make power with only a portion of the air box opening.

This car is going to be what was it from Mclerns F-duct? 3 tenths faster? on tracks with long straights now. Monster.

so in fact Red bull was faster capying the good bits from others than those lagging behind were in getting agraasp what Neweys car is all about...considering they have a evolutionary approach for their car this is astonishing ...

Putting it on the car is one thing; making it work is another.

Indeed. If this is a ducted system then I'll be interested to know just how they've actually fitted it on to the car, let alone made it work. I firmly believed this would just be some sort of blown rear wing, but it seems what we saw at Monaco was just stage one.
