But, it won't be any B-spec of car. RF1 didn't cumulate changes in a big packets called "X-spec" (X=B, C, D...) . Bigger updates expected in Valencia, some in Silverstone.mith wrote:It seems it was rather bad strategic decision. I'm waiting for their B-spec car.
Wait and see... but ''new floor'' could also mean ''new sidepods or/and new holes for a (new) diffuser''...Carlo's wrote:New front wing and floor in Valencia for Renault. That's it and they called it "big update"
Blackout is right! The new floor could also mean that it's prepared for a future "exhaust fed diffusor" à la Red Bull? RF1 stated before Canada that big updates where scheduled for Valencia and Silverstone, not just Valencia! If they would'nt have gone for the primes in Q3 in Montreal, P5 was very likely, so for Valencia I am hoping for P5 or better so RK can continue the season with constant podium challenges!Blackout wrote:Wait and see... but ''new floor'' could also mean ''new sidepods or/and new holes for a (new) diffuser''...Carlo's wrote:New front wing and floor in Valencia for Renault. A new floor with different holes to better feed the diffuser and a new wing to better feed the floor can bring huge gains...
Before Sepang Renault said that they will only bring new sidepod deflectors but they brought new deflectors, new bargeboards and an innovative splitter...
Don't forget they were experimenting with a double floor earlier, but decided it wasn't ready.Carlo's wrote:New front wing and floor in Valencia for Renault. That's it and they called it "big update"
As far as i've understood the double floor is only an extension of the double diffuser. Meaning it would'nt work without the double diffuser.Confused_Andy wrote:Hmmm, with the banning of DDD could a double floor be 2011's big money property?
Now its complete! "The team introduced a huge aerodynamic step at Sepang, including new sidepod panels, barge boards, a modified diffuser and a double splitter. " From the article shows that what is not working properly in China, will work in Valencia.Giblet wrote:Double Floor F1T article
There wasn't double floor at Sepang. RF1 Paddock Pass confirmed this.Giblet wrote:Double Floor F1T article
