Not worse. it doesn't bring gains in fast corners.
RK used the Turkish version not the Valencian one.
To woinder off topic a little, i just wonder how teams dont implement the 7 post rig in the wind tunnel as well??? Or implement a rolling road with a 7 post rig. If there was such a thing avalable, that would be one powerful tool to use.Fil wrote:Awesome footage of their chassis rig!

No that is mclarensESPImperium wrote:Personally, i think the F-Duct is a waste of money, it has eaten up a rumored $8 for Red Bulls one, Ferarri much much more, the cheapest one to date is Force Indias one.
I do agree with that yes, but though it is an downside it is renaults strength, these sidepods allow a really clean shape, wich is more efficient than an compact molded body. Also note that renaults sidepods are much shorter. However, i feel that Renault with a complete new suspension solution for Kubica will help, and futher refinement of the car as a whole would be better value. I feel that that the R30 needs more undercut sidepods and development of the whold coke bottle area would be nice to see developed to my eyes.
$8 doesn't seem so bad... can I buy one?ESPImperium wrote:Personally, i think the F-Duct is a waste of money, it has eaten up a rumored $8 for Red Bulls one, Ferarri much much more, the cheapest one to date is Force Indias one.
Renault aimed to make the shortest possible car, in sake of rigidity and lightness. The fuel tank has been widened more than lengthened. All the radiators, including the gearbox radiator, have been placed next to the fuel tank. That's why the bottom of the sidepods are not very undercut.wesley123 wrote:ESPImperium wrote:I do agree with that yes, but though it is an downside it is renaults strength, these sidepods allow a really clean shape, wich is more efficient than an compact molded body.
