Red Bull RB6

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I remember we had the discussion about redbull's suspension ages ago; maybe this ties into the nose of the car coming down.
just a reminder:

At the time i thought the car's rake was changing because the rear was rising disproportionately from the front because of the fuel level. Now a similar method could play well with the wing or nose movement.

I agree with the theory, except to say that it's happening with an empty tank. Hence their stunning qualifying and low fuel pace.

Not sure if this has been posted before. Is this a broken nose or a flexible one?

Broken. But that doesn't mean it wasn't flexible.

The huge gap between the nosecone and the tub is a clear giveaway that it's broken.

Please do not post content which is only aimed at the flexible wing topic, there is a dedicated thread for that.

I will be moving the last few posts into said thread.

Could it be possible that the front and rear suspensions are coupled together mechanically?

Would like to know how the "antis" work in F1, what do the teams use and specially RBR.

That's interesting. Did they revert to an older wing?

Two things, as practice is tomorrow, surely the cars would not be running today, so photos may be old??
Even if the photos were taken today at spa, RBR may just be trying to find out if the older wing is more advantageous.
We must wait until quali to see what they will race with, as any set-up can be used until then.

i think your right, i don't think the wing flexed in turkey.

so if that is the case, are we saying the wing was illegal and would fail the new FIA tests?

Maybe the Turkey wing was less draggy than the last one.
