Just read that the HRT mechanic only has bruising and is not badly injured. Not sure how accurate this is as it was on a post in reply to an article but good news that the guy is ok if this post is accurate.

You mean those 30 cm hide donuts? Nobody rides them.

But we all know that, and the drivers certainly know that, so Hamilton was well aware of the risk he was taking. Racing incident, bad luck, Massa is a crappy racer, blah, blah, blah. It's just up to Hamilton to pull back in the lead now, so that he can blow it at the last race per tradition.
Agree, he should write this down. Avoid Massa at all costs. Massa has nothing to lose.
And heeds to be more relaxed on first laps. Button let Alonso through today, but it saved both their races. I don't know if anyone has any video, but Button was calm enough to juke to the right avoiding coliding with Alonso after the pitstop.
Hamilton needs to realize collecting points ahead of Webber and Alonso now are all he needs to worry about.
For Sure!!

Had Hamilton somehow miraculously made it thru first apex, he'd be in gravel in second.
I think the back of the field managed to fit 2 cats there, no crash.
I have to watch replay, but have you seen Schu's attack on Webber?
Schu was exactly where Hamilton was and he had to back off, and as you know Schu is not the one to back-off first usually.
At the start of a race, it is possible to fit 2 cars where normally you won't see it during race. It's all the adrenaline and close combat :p
I think Schoemaker had already made up several places and was pleased enough with himself not to try something reckless. Different circumstances, not 2 Ferraris side by side ahead of him and a fight for then win. I would like to watch the video of it if you have it though :)

Yeah, not in his DNA, I don't think. But that's why we love him.

That's good - hope it's true.

No i don't mean those. The white and red part. Massa could have used more but he chose to cover Alonso's gear box, check the video, he juked to the left to cover Alonso, the the collision happened instantly.
You know waht, forget about It doesn't really matter anyway. Massa can't even line up on the grid, how's he supposed to watch curbs and other drivers.
Hamilton should not take the other drivers awareness for granted next time.

It's not about awareness.
Hamilton was behind. Do you expect him to yield in such situation? I don't.

Interesting to see Briatore back on the grid.

Hamilton may have at least expected some attempt of self preservation from Massa.
He wan't necessarily behind either. Massa was ahead but his turn in was strangely sharp knowing someone is braking up the inside.

Button yielded the lead to Alonso to avoid a collision. I don't have access to video but if someone could put it up that would be nice.
For Sure!!

Flabby was a guest of Ferrari. Probably working for Bernie to help him make Monte defect from FOTA once again.

Did Alonso bump Massa in second part of the first chicane? There looked to be something going on there.

I think Button was beaten by the Ferrari pit crew today. Alonso's pit stop was 3.4s I believe compared to Buttons 4.2s. That 0.8s would have made a lot of difference at turn one.

And Alonso punted him up the arse at the start damaging the diffuser and rear wing end plate.
