If it rains I hope Heidfeld wins. He has the skills in the right circumstances.

FWIW, I just cast a vote, went to another site, then returned. I was not allowed to vote again (and was happy to see the poll working as it should).

The rain reflecting off the water on the visors would prove to be quite dangerous for vision, no?

The combination of night+rain would be really something, I'd love to see a race like that :D

Misting or fogging inside the visor is the primary problem in these environments. Yes, a rain drop reflecting the light in the wrong way could obstruct the driver for an instant, but it's for a fraction of a second, quite unlike a visor that is clouded heavily all the time.
Racing should be decided on the track, not the court room.

Will a white visor help?

You know i dreamed that Alonso won this race. Vettel second, Webber third,
then Kubica then Massa.... then Hamilton 5th to last! :?

The ferrari could show is Monaco and European GP form here. They also seem to have updates as well, this could bring them ahead of Redbull. I'm not sure what Mclaren have up there sleeve but i don't think it's enough to catch the other 2 teams.
For Sure!!

If theres gonna be weather problems expect may drivers to have the electrically heated visors on, and when it comes to the visor colour, lightly smoked is the colour of choice. Many drivers take about 5 helmet choices to this race as its easier to change a helmet than a visor.

What may drivers may do is take the white visor, but use the Abu Dhabi tear offs, whitc are tinted. This way if it rains they only have to take tear offs off to get the clear vision of the white visor. Altho one thing that hasnt been looked at is the point of view that the road may have a glare on it from the lights in certain areas, and that may need a visor that is slightly smoked.

Talking of Smoked, this is making me want a Bacon Roll.

Thank you. I was mainly interested after ESPImperium posted the suggested layout changes a few pages back. Seems like they didn't go through though. Only minor tweaks.

How do you know all these things? Thanks for the info!

Easy, I read up on those things when they introduced the system and the generator issue was such a cool thing it stuck in my memory for some years. I only had to google the "Singapore F1 lighting" to refresh my memory.

Agreed, it will be awesome. My concern is that the severity of the rain will cause the red flag to be the safety approach of choice. It certainly looks like the rain will be spectacular when it comes.
