Hulkenberg also given 20 second penalty
Nico Hulkenberg has also been given a 20-second penalty by the stewards for gaining an advantage in turn 7 in the first lap of the Singapore GP. This drops the Williams driver one spot, moving Felipe Massa up to 8th.
The decision comes after Force India F1 appealed a decision that their driver, Adrian Sutil, was handed a penalty for gaining an advantage by going off track. The team felt Hulkenberg also gained an advantage.
The stewards found the plea correct and handed Hulkenberg an identical penalty. Due to both Germans getting demoted 20s in the race result, they both drop a place, while Felipe Massa gains two.
