I swear he said something along the lines of " second row aint so bad"
"I knew the front row was going to be very competitive today, so I'm a bit disappointed to be off the second row," said the Australian.

He's not cut from the same cloth as his uncle, but I think he is doing fine.
I don't know why the bbc guys say he's not doing ok.
What more can he do than finish races? He has no chance of finishing ahead of anyone beside his teammate.
This weekend his car is not setup right, and with the lack of downforce the HRT will make the driver look worse than he is. Klein is clearly better, but i think i klein gets another go next race, we can compare fairly.

new enggine a no brainer for massa
as it stands he is going to be using 2 engines for 4 times each

he can change without penalty and have one engine for 3 and one for 4

he is said to currently have available one used once and one used twice

to the optimist a glass is half full ; to the pessimist a glass is half empty ; to the F1 engineer the glass is twice as big as it needs to be

Oh the usual FIA aftermath. To be fair, the pit-limiter zone starts quite early in the pit-entry and isn't very well marked, so you would expect a few breaches here.

Great stuff from Rubens, I like that Williams is starting to show form again after so many years of mediocrity. Hulk looked messy every session. Frustrated and overdriving the car.
Never mind the fact that Rubens has all the new updates on the car and Nico hasn't. I don't think it's really fair to compair them.

I am so impressed by what Alonso is doing. He was a bit lucky that Vettel messed up his lap but Alonso is so calm en so unbelievable confident in his abilities. One of the all thime greats in my opinion, even though I don't like his personality. But somehow the all the greats have terrible personalities, Senna, Schumacher etc.

I also wanted to say that the BBC coverage starts to become one big advertizing show for McLaren and their great British drivers. I mean of course its British television and I understand them favouring McLaren and Jenson and Lewis. But every singe race since the Ferrari 'teamorders' they've show the clip where Massa lets Alonso through. And Eddie Jordan can only say one thing about Ferrari and that is that they cheated in his opinion. Really boring from British state television. I might switch over to 'ze Germanz'.

I think you misheard him.
Mark Webber (5th, Q3 - 1m 45.977s)
“I knew the front row was going to be very competitive today, but I’m disappointed to be off the second row. I don’t think I could have done a lap to get on the front row; so it could be worse, but it could be better. We will keep hanging in there as it's a long race tomorrow and we’ll see how it goes. I was having trouble getting the rhythm around here; there are a few places where I know I lost time on most of my laps because I wasn't fast enough. Ferrari did a good job and Sebastian has been fast all weekend. Fernando got the pole and fair play to him. Let’s see what we can do from there tomorrow.”

WTH? Why all the slow teams break the speed limit?
So no penalty for Massa?

Because that's the only place they're fast?

ohoh..RedBull feels the heat already.
My view is their start will not be good enough tomorrows either. So will Hamilton be able to go with Alonso? Question is will Alonso hold half a second advantage on full tanks towards Hamilton?
My favorit is Alonso with Hamilton second the 5 way race is on .

I'm as shocked as you are but even the likes of HRT, Lotus and Virgin can reach the dizzying speeds of 60km/h(!) It's amazing that man can live at such startling speeds.

It looks like Massa's engine shut down. Don't know what caused it yet but the lack of telemetary from the car would suggest an electronics failure. Not much a driver can do in a situation like this.

I think Hamilton will keep Alonso honest but FA will probably take the win. It would be a brave man to bet against a poor start by at least one of the Red Bulls, especially if it rains again meaning they'll start on dry tyres on a slightly damp track.

If it's a wet race I'd expect Hamilton to take the win and for both Red Bulls to slip back, but still it'll be close between Alonso and Hamilton.

Either way I look forward to a good clean fight to the finish of the championship now - 5 drivers in broadly equal machinery.
