Red Bull RB6

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's actually pretty witty of Mark to bring that back up. Enjoyed the good laugh, especially the idea of a "big lever", as SV put it :D

I guess the trouble with the written word is the lack of facial expressions etc. with which to convey meaning and inflection.
You mean it wasnt clearly obvious that they were joking and that i was joking by posting it in here? :o

Is that a laser beam in the image above? What would it be for?

I think it is a red string. They use it for setup, scarbs can enlighten you on that subject.

Also, that first picture is of RedBull.

Laser maybe for temperature measurement.
Yea could also be a oscillating string.

I think the picture fits more to the RedBull topic, because it obviously is one (pull rod).
Very nice find btw. you can see how the pull rod is attached to the wishbone and not directly to the upright.

The f-duct has been blowing the main plane since Suzuka I believe? Any word on Jonathan Legard's rumors of an f-duct blowing both the plane and the flap?

it´s a laser string Mx tifosi... Car alignment (toe ...)

I found a real string(nylon string very thin .3mm ) much better.used laser equipment quite a while...the setup anf maintainance was simply too fuzzy the one
advantage you got is nobody can step on the string in the pits...

Webber battling rivals and critics

Interesting explanation to Vettel's resurgance. One of many software updates seems to have taken away some of Webber's advantage over his team mate. Win some, lose some.

They seem to have had a ton of visibiity paint splashed around the internals of the diffuser. Are there new bits in there?
