It was indeed strange looking incident.
His back end stepped out much earlier that the brakes are applied.
Petrov's big crash reportedly due to F-Duct malfunction robbing him of downforce, so he's off the hook for that one

He can't actually use that engine until Abu Dhabi because of rules.
