Hi everyone,
I came across an interesting suspenion geometries variable - roll centre height. I know that by using short length instantaneous centre swing axle Roll Centre can by controlled pretty well with minimum dispalcement. Now the question is how close RC should be in relation to instantaneous centre? Do engineers try to achieve minimal distance between RC and IC on F1? or it is better to leave RC at ground level?
My initial thought is that the closer RC is to IC the less weight transfer occurs resulting in even weight distribution within vehicle? Am I right or nowhere close?
What are pros and cons of keeping RC close to IC?
Thank you for your valuable opinions!
