E.Boullier said in FIA Friday press conference that they used a new material for the uprights, but I think they were experimenting a novel brake disc material and stuff ... For Gods sake, how many uprights did you saw blowing up? :D

Seriously, lol. What the hell is that supposed to mean :!: Either you have a faultless day with the KERS, or you don't give out a hint that you had even the slightest of issues. If they have a KERS on their car, that is.
I remember an onboard shot of Vettel's lap in FP2 and he definitely wasn't using KERS at that point whilst on a long, high fuel run...

Hold on there a sec.

I've never ever seen Lewis so lively in an interview. He says Red Bull are gonna find at least half a sec. tomorrow in quali, but watch his facial expressions as he says so. I see total confidence. Unless it's something else completely, I think he believes the car will be in a MUCH better position to take the fight to the Bulls tomorrow and sunday.

Also, recently people have been complaining about drivers not showing enough character in interviews etc. (and rightfully so tbh.). If it's got nothing to do with on track performance, it's good to see something different from a driver.[/quot
Good point there Shrieker...That caught my attention too...I havent seen Hamilton look so lively in a long time now and quite in a good mood.Heck, even check Button hes looking quite calm compared to last years interviews.
Maybe deep down inside he's doing one of those "serenity now!" mantras from Seinfeld?

McLaren performing surprisingly well i may say...Button 0.4 sec off Hamilton.I think they can shave at least 0.2 sec more for the qualy.I believe its gonna be tight unless RedBull digs another full second.

I reckon both McLaren and Red Bulls will be into the 1:35's in quali, with Red Bull maybe even pushing the 1:34's...

However I'm really hopeful that McLaren will be able to push them all the way through the race so that with a bit of luck with the strategy they'll have them beat, or at least make Red Bull work for the win.

But it seems Vettel's RB7 lost its camera. Not sure if he slowed down because of that.

There was definitely a puff of black smoke when Petrovs car failed that looked suspiciously like a brake disc failure. My personal view is that the disc exploded, seized the wheel, and this ripped the upright apart. It's happened like that before...

Rain potential from Ian Fergusson:
SEPANG, quali: So, some sharp showers now starting to pop-up not far north of the circuit in a growing convergence line. Will develop more.
EDIT: Oo, Christian Horner has just predicted rain in Q3...
