Coming out of turn 15 with Alonso at his back bottom, Hamilton move left (1), a bit to the right (2) and the left again (3) to take the line for the next corner. There is also a slight move to the right in the braking zone which could be due to a bump.
As for Vettel, I don't know. I always thought that the weaving rules didn't apply on the run down to the first corner. Reg's anyone?
Either way I don't see anything wrong with what Vettel did on the run to turn 1, especially when you compare him to the McLaren behind that is wildly darting from side to side.
The point is that Hamilton was trying to overtake, Vettel was blocking. Vettel changes direction at least 3 times if not 4.
There are no rules that say you can weave at the start but not at any other time. This is the inconsistency I was talking about. Hamilton changes direction 3 times, Vettel was similarly weaving at the start.
I don't want to see either driver penalised, but if one is to be punished they both should. I'm sure there were numerous other examples throughout the race for anyone with the patience to go through the video.
