Also if you take it being 2.5 you gain only 2kg drag for every 10kg downforce exachange (delta.drag=10/2*wing.efficency)
One of best references i've found to date:

http://strangeholiday.com/oops/stuff/an ... 092016.pdf

Good read about diffusers too.

Researched 4-element rear wing's aspect ratio was 1,5, and they found (both CFD and wind tunnel) L/D to be 3-4, depended on angle of attack.

Current F1 rear wings have aspect ratio of 1,1 and just 2 elements and numbers will be lower - so i think i stick to L/D = 2-2.5

At the same time very basic diffuser researched in http://eprints.soton.ac.uk/22957/1/paper_35_2.pdf is near L/D=4, and
i think those used on current F1 cars have better efficiency (> 5 ?).

3kg of drag reduction for every 10kg of downforce moved to diffuser ?

I'm a bit out of my depth here. But, while most of the discussion has focused on the velocity aspect of a blown diffuser, I'm wondering if the higher viscosity of the hot exhaust could also be enhancing the effectiveness of the diffuser. Any thoughts?
