Good read about diffusers too.
Researched 4-element rear wing's aspect ratio was 1,5, and they found (both CFD and wind tunnel) L/D to be 3-4, depended on angle of attack.
Current F1 rear wings have aspect ratio of 1,1 and just 2 elements and numbers will be lower - so i think i stick to L/D = 2-2.5
At the same time very basic diffuser researched in http://eprints.soton.ac.uk/22957/1/paper_35_2.pdf is near L/D=4, and
i think those used on current F1 cars have better efficiency (> 5 ?).
3kg of drag reduction for every 10kg of downforce moved to diffuser ?
