Massa finished 69 seconds behind Alonso. What a waste of a good car.

Great drive by Vettel, this kid is on another planet!
Indeed – he should really have been tight on Webber's gear box for the whole race – he lost 10-15 seconds in the first stint in traffic, 5-10 on the second, and then another 5-10ish from his buggered pit stop. Can't say the traffic was anything other than his own fault though – he had a go at webber at a place he really shouldn't have.

The DRS zone was too long, and it just makes passing too easy. Also seems a little silly that the leader can use it to get straight line speed to pass backmarkers who are going to let him by anyways.

Is bouncing off the limiter in any way shape or form bad for the engine?

Just saw his pole lap again - he always had at least 1 tyre in the lines. Which is what the regs call for.

Good drive by Alonso - did well to keep the Red Bulls honest. Good drive by Hamilton and Rosberg. Shame Hamilton had the pit issue or it might have been more interesting at the end of the race with 4 cars keeping each other honest.

Good fun watching the two McLarens battling on track. Isn't it nice to see team mates racing? Shame they don't/can't all do it...wondered if the Renault boys were going to "do a Red Bull" today by taking each other out in Turkey. I bet they'll be claim and counter claim in that motorhome after the race.

Button needs to concentrate on running quickly rather than carefully. Whilst he is undoubtedly quick in real terms, he just seems to lack the last couple of tenths. He was always going to struggle today on 3 stops.

I like the DRS/KERS combination but agree with Brundle and DC that today's DRS line was too early meaning the passes were too easy for most. The tyre issue makes for a bit of interest as the race develops - I prefer tyre strategy to the fuel strategies of the refuelling era.

The limiter is there to stop the engine from over revving and failing. Bouncing off the rev limiter is not a good thing as it will loose the driver time and speed.

I don't think it is too healthy for the engine either in that it can increase engine wear, I think.

This race was absolute cr@p. It is like 4 sprint races right after each other. The tires need to improve, this maybe what F1 wants from Pirelli, but it is a complete disgrace. On top of it they try to preach eco-friendliness etc. DRS was like a teleport button in this race. F1 is going down hill for sure...

Have you got a link to him going through 10 that isn't onboard, because from onboard, his front wheels are deffinately outside, and he's pointing onto the track, so I can't imagine his back wheels being on the track here:

DRS is a joke and those Pirelli tyres are like a farce... that was by far the most boring f1 race that I have ever seen.

Honestly, I think you're mad if you didn't find that race exciting. Overtaking was a little too easy, but it didn't take that much away from the race.

I wouldn't say it was boring but it is certainly too much. F1 has gone from drought to flood when a middle ground should have been settled for.

not absolute crap, but 4 stop is too much, maybe the new "superhard" will prevent this in barcelona

I understand what a limiter is, this isn't preschool

What I don't know is how the engine is limited. In road cars it usually cuts the fuel for a sec, thus the term 'bouncing on the limiter', but the more I think about it, in a race car it would make far more sense to keep the engine from revving more than 18,000.

Another thing that struck me was how bad DC is at commentating. Hes like a rabbit caught in the headlights everytime Brundle asks him to elaborate on something.

At least you got the Red Bull part right!
