Button 3rd without the use of DRS.. ?? Or is the wing design fooling my eyes..?
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Sometimes its the braking!
He was just carrying way too much speed into the corner. That has nothing to do with wheel locking (it's right they locked up, but he would have gone into the wall anyway)

Sebastian Vettel on the Red Bull team radio: "I hit the kerb, slid off the track and hit the wall. I'm fine."

The RB is not so quick in S1 or S3. Nico is a streak out there this morning

In the live feed, one of Vettel's crew said the tub has damage...sounds like no FP2 for Vettel. A new tub puts him back in the grid....

Back in the grid? Why? Why not FP2? They have ready made tubs there, should not take too long. They should get out for some of FP2.

Sorry actually has to start the race from pitlane.....

28.1 Each competitor may have no more than two cars available for use at any one time during an Event. Any
partially assembled survival cell will be deemed to be a car in this context if it is fitted with an engine, any
front suspension external to the survival cell, bodywork, radiators, oil tanks external to the survival cell or
heat exchangers.

28.2 Any driver who decides to use another car or whose car has a change of survival cell following the
qualifying practice session must start the race from the pit lane following the procedures detailed in Article
38.2.
Under these circumstances :
- the car concerned will not have to comply with the requirements of Article 34 ;
- the car will be permitted to carry out one reconnaissance lap when the pit lane is opened for the race.

Qualifying....it's not after quali, just FP, he can replace whatever he want without a penalty (Tub....not engine/gearbox and all that)

Only a small tap by Vettel. the mechanics will fix that in no time. No cause for concern.

Listening closely to the radio transmissions between Seb and Rocky following his crunch into the wall of champions during P1 in Canada, Rocky told him:

"Understood. Usual Procedure. P-1 ten seconds, P-0 Please. You OK?"

Can anyone tell me what this procedure might be for. Presumably they're looking after the car in some way. If the car was fitted with a fan for example, I guess they might give it a blast to cool things down, but since they're not allowed to, what could this be for?

Vettel is beginning to crack under the pressure. He crashed at the wrong time though, should have crashed in Q2.

Hey, Zgred! looking forward to the under car pictures of the RedBull. Wink wink.
