HAM v WEB was racing incident - WEB started to close for the apex, saw HAM and started to give room as HAM was coming through. Slight touch in the wet = spin.

HAM v BUT was BUT closing the door on HAM. Probably thought he was taking the defensive line but didn't realise that HAm was so much quicker than him.

These things will happen when we have cars that can race. For years F1 had bugger all overtaking and so little coming together as part of it. Get some overtaking and you get some incidents. HAM does more overtaking of those in similar cars than anyone else so it's no surprise he has incidents.

Button into pits. McLaren luck. Frankly, they have the cars. Only.

Did you say ruin master, flyn? Sorry, sorry, just a lame joke. I apologize in advance.

I fail to see how to blame Button in any case, ell, but I'm sure I will learn here how to do it.

Button probably squeezed Hamilton into the wall, but he'll claim he was taking the normal racing line, he didn't even change line to defend, that he was unsighted by spray.

As for Hamilton, 3 moves, 3 contacts - Webber, Schumacher, Button. Says it all.

It was a bit like schumacher and barichello last year. Just push him against the wall

Yes, as zeph, I agree with you Richard.

It was obvious he was quicker than Button and the two Mercedes but he just cannot seem to reign in his aggresive tendencies when the situation requires just a bit of patience. Very disappointing to see him ruin his race when he had a very good chance to score a podium.
Patience for what exactly? He had a clear opportunity to overtake Button, but all overtakes require the other car to give room. What Button did, albeit accidentally, was similar to Schumacher forcing Barrichello up against the pit wall. Hamilton had clear opportunity, had the car alongside, but the other driver squeezed him off the track.

The problem with calling for more patience is that often the opportunity to pass will just pass you by. Look at Button in Monaco. He was patient and ended up third instead of challenging for the win. Many drivers will do well just playing the numbers like that, look at Nick Heidfeld for example. However you won't be world champion driving like that unless you have by far the best car, something Lewis doesn't have the luxury of having this year.

He didn't move out of Hamilton's way and let him go by just like the three other drivers in Monaco.

At the risk of the squirrels, which Giblet works hard to keep at bay, attacking me I think the FIA needs to have a serious talk with Hamilton. No idea what form the "talk" would take but just thinking about Monaco, Hamilton does not seem to have learnt anything.

There is a common link there. I don't want to say this but I'll risk it. The common link that both these guys have in common that is the same between them is that they both ... erm ... got caught being naughty.

Now the ruddy safety car is out?! What for?!

It's great how the rain can make these huge teams of dedicated pros looks like a bunch of circus monkeys.

Apparently it is due to torrential rain at the back of the circuit.

@ell66 - are you praying for a ban? Seriously dude.
