Is RESTART the word???
Did I win???
schu was exactly aware of bars position, i doubt that button kew exactly where ham was.beelsebob wrote:Why not? They're very similar.FrukostScones wrote:you can't compare the two incidents!
A bit of forward planning and he could have. Hamilton was far enough back to be able to seel Button a pretty easy dummy but failed to do this.beelsebob wrote:You think that it was possible to
1) Scrub off a bunch of speed on the grass without spinning
2) change sides, once you've scrubbed off speed and are now going slower than your oposition.
3) Then magically make the engine work harder than anyone else's and drive down the outside
You're mad.
Yeah the only difference is jenson couldn't see very well.beelsebob wrote:Why not? They're very similar.FrukostScones wrote:you can't compare the two incidents!
Button would have put him wide? How? Hamilton would have had the inside line.flynfrog wrote:you missed the point if I have to give the driver behind all the room in the world for a front wheel why not just a wing tipbeelsebob wrote:1) It wasn't the tip of his wing – it was his whole front wing, his whole front wheels, and a chunk of the rest of the nose.flynfrog wrote:so if I put the tip of my wing where there is no chance I can make it stick you have to give me room? Hamilton had plenty of time not to run off the track he just refused to lift
2) there was significant amounts of the straight still remaining, and HAM was going significantly faster – he would have been side by side into the corner, if not ahead already.
3) Button had plenty of time to not push HAM off the track, he just refused to give some room.
hamilton had no chance of making it button would have put him wide anyway.
Hamilton had plenty of time to lift.
Jenson saw him. He adjusted himself to Hamilton's move.timd wrote:Yeah the only difference is Henson couldn't see very well.beelsebob wrote:Why not? They're very similar.FrukostScones wrote:you can't compare the two incidents!
It's raining... Ever riden a motorbike in the wet and tried to see things without lights ?
To me ham made a silly move

Guess I must be blind then. The problem for Hamilton is that he has a quicker race car than qualifying car so he's having to make moves in the race to have any chance of scoring decent point and challenge for the win. Were he to 'chill out', as you suggest, then he can kiss the championship away without even putting up a fight.zeph wrote:The point is really not whether Hamilton or Button or both were at fault.
The point is that Hamilton has been getting himself into an awful lot of these situations.
With Monaco fresh in mind, and now three contacts in three laps, you'd have to be blind not to see that he needs to chill out and get back in the groove.
A bit of forward planning would have resulted in being on the outside into turn 1, and Jenson not yet having made his move. Jenson would have pushed him wide, and he'd have no chance.andrew wrote:A bit of forward planning and he could have. Except Button would have just moved in the other direction – remember – button only made his move, after Hamilton made his.No magic would have been required to make the engine work harder as Hamilton was significantly faster than Button and had a lot more speed due to Button messing up the chicane.
