it is only logical that those who gain most from using Qmaps will also suffer the most.
Very clearly Mclaren is much stronger compared to RedBull in Race trim and ferrari is at least well sorted with the softer compounds.
I think the table has already turned and Mclaren and ferrari are the ones in the hands of Hamilton and Alonso ...

and funny result of FP2 with Ferrari-MCL-RBR-MERC +Ferari-MCL-RBR-Merc locking out the top8 in a double 4 order...have we seen something similar ever?

Webber, he is always fast when it does not matters. The F1 version of Asafa Powell.

Guys... Look out for Torro Rosso. They are going to be faster than they ever were before for this race. Solid Q3 you heard it here first!

Hi f1gang, not exactly sure what you mean by 'whole of laps times' but try the FIA Media Centre at http://www.fia.com/en-GB/mediacentre/f1 ... iming.aspx

Click on Session times. That will give you a pdf showing the lap times for each driver, on each lap in each session, but it doesn't show sector times.

Hope that helps.

Speed tv.com is streaming free practice 3 live, free! And it is without commentary! So you can hear nothing but engines, and whatever ambient noise there is: birds singing, yachts puttering around, marshalls muttering etc.

http://formula-one.speedtv.com/article/ ... streaming/

That's in about an hour.

I thought they can't change the engine mapping by wheel?

FP 3 I think.

Time for me to do the Mythbusters routine.

According to Anthony Davidson (Radio 5 commentary), the most likely explanation is that they were just practicing changing a wheel after Webber's extremely slow wheel change in Canada.

But that was Vettel

Anyway, I can't understand why they should practice this. How often a steering wheel fails? :wtf:

I know it was Vettel but it makes sense to practice regardless of the driver.

The steering wheel doesn't have to fail, just one important button. The wheel is assembled by humans, humans make mistakes.
