You misread me, I said Diffuser blowing has been in use since the 80's, Renaults had this in '83.Pierce89 wrote: You're wrong about it being out of use since the 80's. Merc provided 2009 data showing they used fuel on the overrun.
Not that I mind, but the first image in the link you supplied is wrongly labelled "Exhaust blown diffuser on Renault RE40 (V6 Turbo) F1", when it is obviously a Williams FW16b".djos wrote:You misread me, I said Diffuser blowing has been in use since the 80's, Renaults had this in '83.Pierce89 wrote: You're wrong about it being out of use since the 80's. I for one, did not realise the benefit that the EBD clampdown would bring to Ferrari. They, along with a bunch of other teams it seems (Williams, Force India) obviously were a long way off the ball with this and the decision to restrict EDBs has really made a big difference to them. So it's little surprise to see Ferrari spoiling the opportunity to put it back together again:Robbobnob wrote:Are Ferrari powered cars in this issue?
The sad thing is, this is, and has been for a long time now.Goran2812 wrote:I hate this... This is not Formula 1... -.-
