I doubt he will be getting another set though.
Pirelli should replace the set. It's the right thing to do. Rosberg got a new set after blistering his tyres by his own actions.
Hamilton's problem was not of his doing. It's only fair they be replaced.

But it's Hamilton. Sharp end of the stick for him.

Button and webber went quicker, both moving past hamilton. Vettel messed up one of his sectors.
For Sure!!

Yup. Schu saving tires. Smart. He probably could have had Massa as he was only .2 off Nico. Schu was no doubt quicker than Nico though.

Vettel apparently was told that from Webber's S1+S2, he knew Webber wouldn't get pole, so he backed out in S2. Apparently Lewis' 1-run in Q3 was not planned; they planned 2 runs but the refueling rig at McLaren failed and so they couldn't fuel him for his 2nd run.

Hosed by his team for not getting him out for a seond lap in q3
And RedBull wouldn't have the front row locked out.
No, the point is that he only has 2 sets of super-softs for the race. 4 sets per weekend, 1 set used up completely over the course of practice and quali, 1 set punctured = 2 left for the race. One of which he didn't end up using in Q3, which is a small advantage. So unless its wet or they can get away with a 2-stop strategy (unlikely according to Pirelli), he'll have to use soft tyres twice.

The Briton was only able to get one early run in during Q3 as the team was unable to get sufficient fuel into the car for a second attempt. He had been a provisional second on the grid, but was pushed back to fourth as Mark Webber (Red Bull) and his McLaren team-mate Jenson Button improved.

Anyone know which rear wings the mcLaren drivers went for?

Lewis confirms that the Q3 single run was because of fuel, and that he possibly caused the puncture over a kerb

If it's true that it was caused by a bolt hanging out of a kerb, McLaren may have a reasonable case to go to the FIA and say "look, it's your fault our guy has a puncture, give us our tyres back".

I don't understand how things could be rosy and sweet for 3 consecutive Grands Prix but this year they seem to have c*cked up the kerbs badly. Makes no sense.

Here's the qualifying press conference:

I find it interesting that Jenson says the McLaren can't hook 3 good sectors together; either you start the lap with overly cool tyres; or you'll end up with overheated tyres

Im gonna say it now, i am bloody pissed off with drivers not going out in Q3, if they dont go out they get a 5 place grid drop, end of. They can go out on scrubs of they want and set a time, but id reduce the ammount of soft sets by one so that the guys futher up are penalised futher by not having a fresh set.

Id probably do the same for guys that do the same in Q2 as well, if they dont go out, a 5 place grid drop.

However id say that Force Majure should be taken into account for something like Kobiyashai. But what Force India and Michael did was just poor.

As for Q1, id also like to see the top guys out there for longer, make 6 laps the bare minimum for your time to be reconised. They can afford to do this as Pirelli are often taking away a set of unused primes frome every car after every event.

I have to disagree with you there ESP, I think it's an interesting strategy element of qualy vs race. Personally I would always rather run if I was a driver and be further up the field, especially on a street circuit.

I'm with ESP on this one, drivers not running in Q to preserve tires as a result of the whole limited-set-of-tires rule is not what it's designed for. If we start going down that route we might as well scrap FP3 to make F1 "more sustainable". Cut the BS.
