I'm obviously rooting for a SB win but it would be awesome to see the Mclarens been competitive and the top four mixing it up.....Poleman wrote:I really wish for a McLaren 1-2 but in all honesty and frustration i see Vettel running off the distance once more...I hope he doesnt for the sake of entertainment.

Although qualifying was close, Vettel always seems able to pull out a couple of great opening laps (ancients like me will remember Jim Clark doing the same) to escape the DRS zone. Frankly, I hope Vettel DNFs early (with no injury) or has some sort of problem so we can see something rare -- an actual race for the win.Traction wrote:I'm obviously rooting for a SB win but it would be awesome to see the Mclarens been competitive and the top four mixing it up.....Poleman wrote:I really wish for a McLaren 1-2 but in all honesty and frustration i see Vettel running off the distance once more...I hope he doesnt for the sake of entertainment.
He was trying to maintain the gap to Button (who was slow and hung around the chicane like a bad smell)Traction wrote:I can't really say as I have not seen the footage of the incident other than the little clip below in another post but it seems to me he was trying to imply that MS and MW were the cause for him not getting in a hot lap but from what I can gather he was just plain to slow....ringo wrote:He wasn't blaming shumacher. Which is true.
Mike re ntered the track dangerously; watching the video. Hamilton lifted when MS re entered.
If he was blasting around the corner chasing webber, they may have been a coming together with Mike, or a really close call.
None would set a good time anyway, but it was just something to note.
Button slowed them so he alone could get a lap.
Can happen if someone putting the pressure at him at Degners. Of course the Degners are waiting for anybody else not just SV. A clear race in equal speeds without retirements would be fine, but a DNF...Oh well would spice things up for sure however,if a McLaren driver is going to win,i am sure they want to do it with Vettel in the race.donskar wrote:I hope Vettel DNFs early (with no injury) or has some sort of problem so we can see something rare -- an actual race for the win.
That was one a fresh BRAND new set of softs & not scrubbed. Lewis 2nd set of option. Oh well, moving on to tomorrow's race!
I rather think the start will be the big issue. If Vettel starts as fast as the Mclarens he may get a two second gap which will stop Button and Hamilton to use their DRS. Without DRS I think that the Red Bull is still superior. This is what made the Maccas fast during FP and Quali.Traction wrote:I actually think that this race will be won or lost in the pits. Tyre strategy will be the key to it all. If the qualifying speeds are reproduced in the race then no one will be building up a gap safe enough to pit without losing a position.
First of all, where in my post did you read something fanboy-ish?Second its not my fault that i was watching the BBC coverage and it was reported by Ted Kravitz that everyone was leaving th pits for their first lap in Q3 on used softs apparently from Q2.Show us proof that it was a fresh set instead of calling people names.Have a nice day sir.Mr.S wrote:That was one a fresh BRAND new set of softs & not scrubbed. you know what? Let's wait and see who's going to be the fastest. If the reports that McL hava new much more effective DRS are true, I do not expect them to be that fast in the race, simply because 99.9% of the time you cannot use it.godlameroso wrote:The nature of the track is a bit like Nurburgring, and Hamilton was the fastest guy there, he will be the fastest guy here too. The only way he won't beat Button or Vettel is if he, or his pit crew screws up.
