Hard luck. I would've prefered seeing him race rather than Narain Karthikeyan.

Is that done partly for the marbles too?

komni- I don't know, to be honest. But when they do come out on track, it's like a sandstorm as all the dust gets kicked up.

Sad for him. Can F1 drivers switch during a race?

switch? You mean a driver gets out and makes way for another?

I thought you just made a prediction it wouldn't be Lewis

According to James Allen's simulations:
Buddh International – 5.125 kilometres. Race distance – 60 laps = 307.249 kilometres. 16 corners in total. Average speed 210 km/h. A new circuit hosting a Grand Prix for the first time

Aerodynamic setup – High downforce. Top speed 320km/h (with DRS open) 308km/h without

Full throttle – 70% of the lap time (est) Total fuel needed for race distance – 161.6 kilos (high). Fuel consumption – 2.65 kg per lap (ave)

Brake wear- average.

Loss time for a Pit stop = 15.5 seconds (est)
Total time needed for a pit stop: 20 seconds (est)

Fuel effect (cost in lap time per 10kg of fuel carried): 0.35 seconds (ave/high)

+1, BTW my favorite F1 drivers are all 1xWDC, one of them none, so it's not that big problem for a real fan :)

On topic : Any weather predictions for the weekend ?

Pirelli expects the harder "option" to be 2 seconds quicker than the softer "prime" (in keeping line with their reversed nomenclature for this race)
presumably you mean softer and harder the other way round there. Tbh, I think Ferrari are buggered here, the last time Pirrelli broke out the hards (rather than the mediums) Ferrari couldn't get heat into them for 5-10 laps.
Possibly, but on the other hand the weather will be hot, and there seems to a be a number of longer medium/high speed corners which will help them get heat into the tyres.

talking about weather, it's going to be all dry-bright sunny weekend, with a possibility of fog in morning sessions, rest should be dry

Temperature prediction on James Allen's site is for high twenties to low thirties with a track temp of around 40. So fairly hot but not excessively so. If the prediction holds up then I don't think any of the top cars will struggle.
