2003 Fiat gave him a 599 ferrari and was presented by Schumy to him after the silverstone GP 2003...when he broke Badman's record

Siskue

Tendulkar is a great but the Schumacher of cricket(statistics) is Jaques Kallis! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Kallis

talking of Schumacher, he is very optimistic that the straights will suit the Mercedes W02 and is confident the team can be closer to the top3 here:

A country that doesn't watch cricket :P

I'm not actually joking - I don't even know where I can watch cricket coverage here! Having said that it's not for me - so even if I knew where to watch it I wouldn't

siskue I take it you were just at the circuit? They usually show those safety car timings on screen when the safety car does the reconnaissance laps and to test all the screens and cameras are working.

All I can say is I wouldn't want to go on that straight in qualifying just after lunch - the wavy straight might just make me hurl

Lets see now, Cricket is the most influential thing in India (after Bollywood that is) .

In a nation where the Field Hockey is the Official Sport, Cricket seems to get a whole lot more attention.

I'm just hoping that the Buddh International Circuit was constructed with the same passion and determination as any Cricket Stadium in India. Even though i'm certain it isn't  .

Note: Since they sold less than 70% of the tickets for the GP, they decided to bring their so-called God, Sachin whatshisname to wave the checkered flag to get the rest of cricket fans in (to buy the tickets), & see HIM in action.

thats the point, i am sure 80 % of Indians has seen Sachin in person and playing match for the past 20 yrs....why would they come to F1 race to watch him?
All they have to do is....go to Mumbai in off season and see Sachin train his son and can personally talk to him ...which is much cheaper
