I think he did it on purpose, he just wanted to clinch the first ever Indian GP penalty trophy, and Perez was instructed by Ferrari to try and ruin it for him.

Pathetic circuit layout wise. Absolutely no fast open corners, could be said as the worst of Tilkedromes.

That's a bit harsh WilliamsF1. Most drivers have been waxing lyrical of the circuit

Uhhh, Sectors 2 and 3 are pretty much entirely made of fast sweepers...

Most drivers are singing their corporate song more than usual at India. India as a venue is a great place but the Tilkadrome is just awful.

Was expecting turn 1 and 13 to be equal to copse corner at silverstone, 11 and 12 to be maggotts and becketts

Very unusual to see McLaren taking two laps to get heat into the tyres. With Hamilton's penalty wonder if they've gone for a more heavily race biased setup?

Will also see how consistent the stewards are with their penalties now. Button set his fastest lap whilst technically there were flashing yellow lights being displayed. He couldn't have done anything about it as he didn't really have time to lift, and the FIA were displaying a flashing yellow AFTER the accident where it should have been a green, but technically he's set his fastest lap through a waved yellow section.

Great job by Seb, Alonso should have Webber off the line, and Hamilton should be charging like a wild Indian.

Congrats Vettel for another pole. He is breaking records almost all the time!

Hamilton who has the best chance of challenging Vettel is 5th place. I suspect LH still have a good chance as he is really fast on the 1st sector where there is 2 DRS zones.

I think this is a great track. Expecting good actions tomorrow.

Care to elaborate on what features are awful? Personally, what I see as good is that the first sector will provide great overtaking tomorrow, and the second and third sectors are immensely technical and we've seen all sorts of people getting it very very wrong there. What's so bad about it?

Making turn 1 similar to copse would destroy it as an overtaking zone – yes we've seen one or two into copse, but it's hardly a popular place, is it?
And no, 11 and 12 aren't like maggotts and becketts, they're like turkey turn 8, except seemingly generating more errors! Great stuff!

What an "anticlimax" to see Hamilton "give up". The only one that can challenge Vettel. It's way to easy for Vettel even though there has been some exciting races this season.

The mind of Alain Prost.
The dedication of Michael Schumacher.
The determination of Alex Zanardi.

Isn't the point that after that after a first and middle sector 2 tenths slower than his last, and Vettel doing a first and middle sector 2 tends faster than his last, that he *couldn't* challenge Vettel. I'd much rather see the guy think, and save his tyres when he knows he's beat than see him trash the tyres and get no where.

What you just wrote has nothing to do with what I just wrote! I don't want to see him be smart and save tyres??? Are you for real??? What the ****, stopp insulting my intelligence.

Can you explain how "this is why he gave up" is not relevant to "damn it's a shame he gave up"?
