Uhhh right, so he shouldn't have overtaken Vettel in the high speed turn in China, right? He shouldn't have driven round the outside of Alonso at the Nürburgring. Instead, we should have absolutely prescribed locations in which passing is allowed.alpen wrote:I've my opinion and you've yours, I never said Massa was in the right or that he didn't turn in on him...just that Hamilton had no business trying that especially with their history. Actually, I think penalizing Massa may have been a bit of a bad decision by the steward. The only reason I say that is it places the onus, not on the proponent of the overtake, but on the person with the poorer view of everything. Personally, I would given them both drive throughs.myurr wrote:I understand the whole racing line thing, but find it ridiculous when it's used to justify turning in on another driver or running them off the road.
It shouldn't matter how many other overtakes were attempted into that corner. Lewis got his car alongside, Massa turned in on him. Hamilton *would* have made the corner as he applied the brakes slightly earlier and was trying to carry less apex speed. Massa always intended to carry full racing speed into that corner regardless of anyone else being there, and turned in regardless.
and you deep inside said that if everything happens involving Lewis Hamilton...... means it's Lewis fault.... right?sknguy wrote:Actually, I think penalizing Massa may have been a bit of a bad decision by the steward. The onus is on both of them, that's the point. It was Hamilton's responsibility to make sure he could make the corner and to make sure he gave Massa as much room as he could. He did that. It was Massa's responsibility to make sure there was room for Hamilton to stay on the road, he didn't do that. The stewards were dead right IMO.sknguy wrote:Actually, I think penalizing Massa may have been a bit of a bad decision by the steward. Yes and no – it's nice to see him up there, but really, it's 7th place, modulo a crash.chepoi wrote:Schumi at fifth position!!!! if 1994 - 2005.... i will quoted as
