It isn't quite relevant, but when I typed in "Bruno Senna 2012" and added a space after "2012", the first thing to come up is "williams". Is this a sign?

EDIT: Nevermind. Williams would be foolish to sign Senna. Williams needs Barichello or Sutil.

8 seats to go.
Interesting that Williams said Bottas will participate in 15 FP sessions over the season. It makes me think they're preparing him for 2013. That's a hefty amount of testing for a TD these days.

Not unexpected. So far it is going to plan. Sutil should be his team mate unless something odd happens.

Btw, did Kimi join LRGP as a pay driver? There was no information regarding his salary, nor his sponsor. Or it was Genii that brought Kimi to the team?

I doubt LRGP would be able to satisfy his high salary demands.

How many people acctually know anything about Geni Capital? Why is there so much doubt about LRGP's future(financial situation)? They(Geni Capital) are making quite some investments(windtunnel, simulator and new staff)in LRGP. They don't seem to be affraid of losing sponsors from russia, since they have given Vitaly Petrov a deadline* until 10th of december. They have signed** Kimi Raikkonen, which probably means they have a new title sponsor from Qatar? They maintained their fifth position in the WCC this year without their lead driver and dispite making a critcial design error. Sure they fell back far during the second half of the season, but by this time they were probably putting most of their resources into the R32.

*He has to sign the contract that makes him obligated to give up his seat in 2012 if Robert Kubica comes back.
**Perhaps they gave him a stake in the team togheter with a "conservative" salary.

I don't know, but that sounds plausible to me.

My own reasoning... Eric Boullier said that there is till room for Robert Kubica, one of the current drivers has to give up his seat if/when Robert Kubica returns during the season(2012). It sure ain't Kimi Raikkonen. Only explanation why Vitaly Petrov is so reluctant to sigh his new contract. Reasonable argument?

The news about Vitaly Petrov's deadline(10th of december)for signing his new contract can be found on ESPN.

As I understood it Petrov has a 2 year contract for 2011-2012, settled before Robert had his rally mishap

Does'nt seem that way. There must have been some clause in the contract that we don't know about.

This indeed seems plausible, but Boullier said many things including that Petrov does have contract for 2012. The deadline info comes not from within a team, but from his manager instead. So, what happens so far with a second seat in Renault is not very clear.

Yes, he did, he also said he wants two "big names" as drivers. Can't be to encouraging for Vitaly Petrov to hear.

Rumor has it that Bullier is gone at LRGP and will be replaced by Gerhard Berger.

Silly season is getting sillier at the moment.
