That is the only word how one can describe Buemi being chosen of Alguersuari. Sincerely, if this is how Red Bull takes big decisions - then its clear that they aren't interested in talent.
Webber & the other two STR's are always to clear the path for Vettel no matter what.
People talk about Red Bull coming up with World Champions, but so far they've got only one (-courtesy of Adrian Newey). It isn't as if they've had an army of champions in the past.
Well its not like his DJing was getting in the way of any type of in-season testing. He still scored alot more than Buemi this year.RB7ate9 wrote:3. Jaime also has that side DJ job which distracts from the larger Red Bull marketing machine
Compare the two for 2011:RB7ate9 wrote:4. Jaime hasn't demonstrated remarkable improvement over Buemi (as can be evidently viewed in quali/points) in the 2.5 seasons compared to Buemi's 3
So he opted to sit out the entire season, rather than a have slim chance of driving best car on the grid in '13 (if Webber were to leave). I kinda doubt that.RB7ate9 wrote:5. Jaime and Seb would've been considered from TEST driver. For all we know, Jaime didn't want to go for it in the first place. So Seb could have been the second choice.
Buemi was always the quicker, and more comprehensive driver. Don't know how you guys haven't been realizing this.vall wrote:I thought that Jaime had more chances! He must have seriously pissed off Markoraymondu999 wrote:Buemi is the RBR test and reserve driver
I think it is your perception that is deceiving you.Trailer23 wrote:a·tro·cious /əˈtrōSHəs/

I don't think these points really matter at all to redbull. These just look like excuses Jaime would use to make it look as if everything but his driving and technical abilities are to blame.RB7ate9 wrote:Unfortunately, it just makes sense from a management point of view to take Buemi over Alguesuari not so much for Buemi's pros, but Alguesuari's cons:
1. Seb and Jaime are relatively interchangeable regarding their quali/points from the 2010/2011 comparison
2. Jaime has had a brush with Helmut - always a bad idea for RB/TR drivers
3. Jaime also has that side DJ job which distracts from the larger Red Bull marketing machine

Alquersuari will be the official DJ for all of RBR post race party.Tyler wrote:I think that the ultimate goal is to have people in the team that can graduate to or step in at Toro Rosso Red Bull when needed.
Just a personal theory but I think that Alguersuari's incident with Marko after blocking Vettel showed that he wasn't co-operative enough, especially if that meant playing second fiddle to the lead driver.
This. Ultimately, the best drivers are ones that can contribute to the team. I don't follow TR nor their drivers a whole awful lot, so can't give my word on the matter, but if Buemi has been providing some better feedback, then he is the more valuable driver overall to any team.ringo wrote:
Buemi has had better drives over the season. Shown more technical feed back, and also has been more mature in how he comments and i guess he's probably a more motivational driver for the team and mechanics.
Jaime's radio always sounds like he's clueless. He never yet sounds sure about anything and he never yet point the team in a direction to go with the car.
Buemi gives a leadership impression more than Jaime.
I would go with Sebastian Buemi any day. Jaime can do like Grosjean and race outside of F1 to mature.
