If the driver is seated higher that will also result in a higher CoG since we're talking about raising around 68Kg a few centimetre
If this graphic is anything to go by. it appears, that most of the suspension components are mounted "in front" of the pedal box anyway, so I don´t think, that a repositioning of the driver feet (higher) is strictly necessary, when moving to a pull rod layout at the front.
Maybe also worth to note, that some overhead comparisons suggests, that the front axle, has been moved forward on the 2012 car, - maybe one reason is to have "enough room" in front of the pedal box.
