Mercedes AMG F1 W03 (pre-launch speculation)

How do you figure?

I'm very interested to see how much undercut they have with their concept.

It looks like there is a good undercut at the start, the sidepod openings angle forward like last year. Right at the apex of the coke bottle, it looks like the sidepod is straigt, no undecut (just like the W02). Then everything flows back to the rear.

It appears to be quite longer compared to the W02, unless they really shrank the sidepods.

The sidepods look incredibly small in every sense of the word. Short, low, thin. I'd like to see their rad arrangement.

I think it looks so long because of the tiny side pods. Proportions.
It will belike McLaren I guess. We will see!

Who needs real side pods when you can have these little tiny fellows, the Merc is a winner!

Perhaps the cooling struggles and solutions last year have helped a lot going forward. The cooling exit doesn't look overly huge like the Red Bull. Looks more like the W02's.

I think it looks beautiful, glinting in the sun like that and in that livery.

Decent pics would help but from this angle it does look narrow and sleek, nice packaging. Tiny sidepods!

Timstr said last years double rads possibly. He's most probably right. This seems to give "tight" a new meaning.

The overall length of the car does not have much to do with shrinking sidepods or not. The Car is hands down very long.

It sure looks to be the case.

Yeap - a very MP4-27/RB8esque undercut scheme.

I was looking at the Mercedes DTM web site and it says their car is 4,872 mm in length. Last year the W02 was said to be 4,800 mm. The DTM and W03 seem to be of comparable size in the picture so I think the W03 is maybe a little longer but a lot sleeker.
