The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team is planning to protest Ferrari's Michael Schumacher pole postion at Monaco. Schumacher parked his car at Rascasse causing a hold up for the drivers who were still clocking a fast lap, like Fernando Alonso.

i think its fair to say most drivers are over the incident and onli a handfull like jv is still draging this incident. I f u read the thursday interview.. dc,jenson and webber all feel that shumy has been punish and then its time to move on. Now its time for us to move on as well..
Many F1 fans, pro MS or NOT didnt like what they seen in monaco, including myself... And yes its time for the show to get back on the road and see what comes on next.
As alwyas im sure the red team will have people bagging them sometime soon no matter what they do
True, I think Fernando put it well. He said he was not going to attened the meeting of the GPDA where Schumi is asked to explain himself saying: "I'll ask Giancarlko when he gets back from it. What happened happened, the FIA did their job and imposed a penalty, now we must get on with racing."
and I think he's right. the FIA penalised MS, all that eeds to be done has been done, so lets get on with it. It tainted F1 for a small period of time (about one weekend) now lets just get on with it, why bother tainting the sport furthert by dragging it out?
Silence is golden when you don't know a good answer.
I can't understand this Schumi, whats point if you can't benefit with stopping the car on the final to get pole but still get penalised. This Schumi needs a bit more lessons from the FIA before he could race at Silverstone, don't tell me he is going to purposely cause a pile-up by crashing himself at Woodcote corner?(Jody did that in 1974 if I'm not mistaken and cause a pile up there)
1994 - Adelaide, crashed into Damon Hill halfway through the race and both retired, taking title.
1997 - Jerez, tried to knock Villeneuve out to take the WDC. Failed and retired from the race, disqualified from 2nd in the WDC table by the FIA.

You cant just forget about this and move on....This is the problem.....Everyone thinks you can just move on because he got a little penalty.....The sport is damaged.....Its not all about mickie......It was proven that F1 is a farce. It was done infront for all to see.
Now ask yourself what other exploitive methods are used behind closed doors to win??? And then you may have a little insight into why F1 is in the hole it is and why it isnt held in the same regard it once used to be. F1 has improved over the last year or so but its heading backward now at a rate of knotts !!!
I agree that it was an over optimistic move by Hill (Hill’s optimism was based on his belief that Schuey won’t smash him). Damon passed more than 1/2 length of Schuey's car which by FIA reg. means that Schuey wasn't allowed even to try to close the door. Second sporting regulation Schuey broke was changing the line twice.
Not to mention that Schuey has already destroyed his car by hitting the wall and instead of continuing left to put his car away from racing line when he saw Damon he simply turned right and crashed into his car.
There were hundreads of square meters of excursion space on left (enough to park demaged lorry) but I guess someone will reply saying that Schuey wanted to park his destroyed car on the right side of the track next to the concrete wall
This is an absoloute joke. It's a racing incident at best! How was Schumacher supposed to judge the handling of his car after his excursion, make the best corner entry possible taking into account his lower entry speed, look in his mirror and decide at what point Damon was over half way up his car (which he wasn't if you ask me), all at the same time. And where was the F.I.A. exclusion from the championship for this so called ramming Damon off. There wasn't any, because it's a load of crap. His car was hardly destroyed like you say was it Manchild?

I just saw that video... only Michael knows whether or not his car can continue. We see people run into each others' tires all the time yet they complete race distances.
However DH tried passing on the outside and failed, so he tried coming on the inside. MS then tried to shut him in but then they collided. The only reason I can see "intentional" written all over it would be in retrospect: that's what the verdict was in 1997 and that MS has been in contraversy before.
Hard to believe, but I have downgraded the event to "racing incident." It was like Sato/Ralf at Bahrain 2004. Or anything Sato for that matter.
Hill won a title in 96 anyway...

I actually don't think Hill was being overly optomistic with that pass. I just put myself in Hills cockpit and try to imagine what I would have done. The Championship is on the line and you've just caught Schumacher going a lot slower. You assume the outside line in order to take a slightly tighter apex and try to pass through the exit. Because you know he's not carrying the kind of speed that you are, and that he'll try to block the inside anyway. But you're blocked. So then you duck to the inside to try to force him wide.
Most definitely, I am going to try to pass the slower car. Besides... being blocked only makes a driver that much more determined. And on top of that, as you can see by the results of the video, it is dangerous and foolish to try block a car that's gaining fast in your mirror. I shake my head at the way Schumi was swerving about. That was really sloppy blocking.
Racing incident? There was no racing at all since Schuey had already hit the wall and with destroyed car (it was useless at least). The only thing for him was to DNF on the spot or to try driving to pits. He had absolutely no right to try to drive on the racing line and prevent any driver to overtake his car because it wasn't capable of running racing speed due to demage. Hill got behing him and he moved left driving very slow, than Hill (who saw him hitting the wall) moved right to pass Schuey's car that was uselss and once he passed it for much more than 1/2 Schumacher slams into him. I'd really like to know what was Hill supposed to do? Follow Schuey's crashed car that was dragging on circuit without trying to pass him by? Indeed, that wasn't real overtaking but passing by a demaged car on track which makes Schuey's action move even worse than one from 1997.
Saw the video you gave manchild, Damon retired because of Schumi crashed into the sidepod and damaged it. Schumi had his own castrophy when went straight into the barriers. (I would to see his face when he comes of his Benetton ) But his tricks did not work on JV, Jerez 1997(I believe some of you guys watched that race) Schumi crashed into JV's left front but himself suffered the damage. I saw a video of it(my cousin recorded it), I was confused. Who would ever support a bloody cheater like him?
