Look at the angle of the front wing. For comparison here's the RB8 where the wing points down matching the rake of the car. The McLaren wing bends backwards like not other car.ajdavison2 wrote:Why so? It's a good picture, but interesting?
You can clearly see the underside of the wing which should be impossible unless it was flexing backwards. The did it last year as well when we saw the supports start to separate at high speed to lower the AOA.ajdavison2 wrote:I would be inclined to say that it's one of the many optical illusions we see posted

It's never looked like that before.Pup wrote:It's last year's wing, so...
Optical illusion, you are seeing the side of the car preceding the sidepod duct.dan_f1 wrote:Is that an optical allusion, or is the right pod completely closed off?
Would a properly functioning brake system still be this hot after entering the pits?Diesel wrote:Woah, great photo of the glowing brake disc there

Can you think of a material dense enough and hard wearing enough to break with that can dissipate enough energy into the air to cool itself from 800°C to air temperature within the space of a minute?hardingfv32 wrote:Would a properly functioning brake system still be this hot after entering the pits?Diesel wrote:Woah, great photo of the glowing brake disc there
It's a sign of a good brake cooling system that keeps them from getting too hot on the track and loosing too much in the pits.beelsebob wrote:Can you think of a material dense enough and hard wearing enough to break with that can dissipate enough energy into the air to cool itself from 800°C to air temperature within the space of a minute?hardingfv32 wrote:Would a properly functioning brake system still be this hot after entering the pits?Diesel wrote:Woah, great photo of the glowing brake disc there
