We'll see. I don't doubt that there will be a few things missing, a few things wrong, a few things unfinished, and probably even a few things that would have been done right or better if Tavo had stayed with the project.strad wrote:I have no doubt the track will be pretty darn decent..maybe a little busy in places but good.
It's everything else that has me concerned. The track will be done but the race will be, dare I say it? Half Assed and poorly xecuted.
And I'm sure we'll hear about them all in detail. Outside of the Ferrari garage, no one whines more in F1 than the press corps, so we'll hear. And I'm sure one or two of them will try to channel Jeremy Clarkson and shoot off a doozy lambasting the race, Austin, Texas and the US in general. We'll be well informed of the track's shortcomings, I've no doubt.
But I've yet to see anything that resembles a disaster in the making. The USF1 equivalent here would be them showing us pictures of three guys in hardhats, a backhoe, some half-finished architectural plans, and a sample bleacher seat they made. And maybe later some photos of a contractor that they're sure to hire any day now once the money comes through, staring worryingly at said bleacher seat.
