Please spare us your agenda. Montezemolo was there during the glory years too.WhiteBlue wrote:I'm not a fan of Alonso, but I never wished him such a disastrous start to a season as he is having now with Ferrari. The sooner FIAT fires Montezemolo and makes a new start with a new chairman at Ferrari the better. The pre Todt era is clearly back or as Lauda would put it the Italian rot.
Was there, too? He orchestrated them.Gerhard Berger wrote:Montezemolo was there during the glory years too.
But why put him out with 15 minutes worth of fuel and same tyres if the car is unstable?lillschumi wrote:And then Massa plain suck. If the car is not top notch he can´t deliver.
He orchestrated nothing, his biggest contribution was signing the checks.bhallg2k wrote:Was there, too? He orchestrated them.Gerhard Berger wrote:Montezemolo was there during the glory years too.
Now he needs to do it again.
I guess what he meant was, he decided to go for a complete restructuring of the team and brought in all the key people from rival teams along with Schumacher. And that led to the such a successful era for the team.Powershift wrote:

Well the rule changes were supposed to play into our hands this year...banibhusan wrote:So, the conclusion from all this debate is that, Ferrari have again missed the chance to win the championship, in what could be the last F1 season ever.
Forgot the Doomsday theory (End of the world)??
Yes, he hired and subsequently paid the right people for the job. That's orchestrating.Powershift wrote:He orchestrated nothing, his biggest contribution was signing the checks.

Well yes. But the new radical car design wasn't..Gerhard Berger wrote:

not poor timing - poor management from the team principal and technical director. They have to chose the right path, and not go down blind alleys. They bowed to the pressure of the media and went radical, and a fired a talented person like Costa along the way.lillschumi wrote:I think it´s all down to bad timing. Last year they missed the EBD train, they took the decision to sack Costa and some more and go aggressive this year. Then EBD were banned for this year but taht decision came way to late for Ferrari, they had choosen their route.
Had they stuck to orginal 2011 concept and refined it to 2012 they would have been fine.
And then Massa plain suck. If the car is not top notch he can´t deliver.
