No i haven´t. I´m talking about understeer on entry being better then oversteer on exit.NathanOlder wrote:Massa said this TODAY... "and I suffered with oversteer on entry and understeer on exit"
Nando has just been telling me, this is what you want an F1 car to do for fast lap times.
And Nando reckon the Ferrari doesnt Understeer

5th paragraph, last line.
Oh dear your Wrong. but we ALL knew that anyway
That is an entirely wrong assessment taken out of the blue.beelsebob wrote:What it appears is going on here is that you've had some racing experience and been told by someone "just tone down your entry a bit, you'll get a tighter line, get on the accelerator earlier, and get a better exit, that'll work better". This is entirely valid reasoning
What you don´t realize is that if your car understeers, you will take a slower entry so you hit the apex just like you would in normal.beelsebob wrote:What you're missing is that when the car understeers you don't get on the accelerator earlier, you get on it later, because you're spending so long getting the nose of the car into the corner.
I never said that. I said, CORNER ENTRY IS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR AS IMPORTANT AS CORNER EXIT.beelsebob wrote:In racing style it is often better to sacrifice your corner entry to gain a better exit. This is not equal to "understeering into a corner has no or minimal impact on lap time".
You have failed to provide any evidence on it.NathanOlder wrote:Understeer is hard to see, But we all saw it today. Either that or we can read Massa's & Alonso's mind making us all telepathic! and way more advanced than you. I think it'll be us seeing the understeer to be honest

You mean this one
""It was difficult right from the start of FP3: the balance of the car was never what I wanted and I never managed to get a clean lap. I was always lacking grip, both on the mediums and the softs and I suffered with oversteer on entry and understeer on exit."
Highlighted so it's not missed by anyone simple!
You are channelling Brian aren't you.Nando wrote:You have failed to provide any evidence on it.NathanOlder wrote:Understeer is hard to see, But we all saw it today. Show me a video of the car understeering in entry. on exit it´s impossible to see.
Why are you talking about a Brian all the time? I could care less about "Brian" whoever that is!eurocentric wrote:You are channelling Brian aren't you.Nando wrote:You have failed to provide any evidence on it.NathanOlder wrote:Understeer is hard to see, But we all saw it today. I am expecting a list style breakdown of what you want in terms of answers from people any moment.
That and the mods to come along and sweep all this up, it's keeping me occupied at work though.
