The real problem is the engineering team trackside is late with understanding what the car really needs setup wiseand as it went wrong in race 1 i think they tried to be too clever for race two neglecting to allow for the possibility rain periods.rosberg was so much focused on "saving " the tyres that he felt them destroyed when they just had lost all temp due to his nursing them ....how the team did not realise the tyre pressures were dropping like a stone..
Which is why I felt Missing the 1st test was a blunder. They debuted their W-duct on the last test anyway. Now Brawn is crying for more setup time to understand the car which will lock huge potential. Setups always give much more time than 1-2 weeks in the windtunnel.
Running the new Pirelli on the old car was useless. I said it. It is a huge difference. Different sidepods, new Front Wing,Stepped Nose,No EBB & new exhaust, sliggtly different packaging & new rear wing & turning vanes.
The Old car was no baseline. Now this 4 days of running would have made Huge difference especially because Jerez had this cold & different conditions to Barcelona & was different less high speed track.
