There does seem to be a lot of movement toward longer length chords, and I'm interested to find out exactly why.

That delta wing has been removed and look at the upward flow just behind it. That will move forward slightly and could be right in the path of the new winglets.Crucial_Xtreme wrote:The flow is pretty close to horizontal. No?myurr wrote:Unfortunately your simulations are wrong as they assume a horizontal local flow. The local flow will not be horizontal.
What looks so bad to you guys? The cooling gills at the rear where it looks like they cut them out with a pocket knife? Those were there last year too.bhallg2k wrote:Ha! What makes it worse is that my first reaction to seeing these photos was the thought, hey, Ferrari seems to be coming around with their quality control.
That Ferrari's decline in craftsmanship coincides with a similar improvement at Mercedes makes me think Costa's loss will eventually be seen as a big mistake, if that hasn't crystallized already.
EDIT: Where do you find all of these photos? I thought I knew how to search the Interwebz with the best of 'em, but I never run into this stuff.
Crucial has "sources". Just kidding, but the man does get hella Ferrari info.bhallg2k wrote:

In engineering we have not yet found a way to rapid prototype laminated carbon fibre structures...Mr.G wrote:Due to the "poorly manufactured" parts. I think this is due rapid prototype technology. If they want to save some time and manuifacture the parts quicklier they lower the tolerances and make the parts easier to build.
When they will be realy sure the parts give the performance they want, then the parts will be manufactured in better quality.
