During the Le Mans 24 Hours, Toyota Racing’s Anthony Davidson suffered a heavy accident at the wheel of the #8 TS030 HYBRID when he was hit by a lapped car. Things could have been worse still, but the Englishman will remain in hospital until Wednesday to begin the recovery process after suffering two broken vertebrae in the impact.

I think that all LMP1, LMP2 and GT cars should now get the MES display to let drivers know with the blue light thing.
Also the safety car ruels need overhaulled as well on restart as the leader should be first behind the leader, and all LMP1 cars on the lead lap should be stacked behind him on the same safety car.
However it looks like LMP cars are going to have to look at the size of the front fenders as cars disappear after Nakajimmias crash into the Delta Wing.
But the Toyota ERS looks to be a monster to what the WHP one that Audi are running.
well #7 Toyota has been in the garage too long to be challenging for the win or a podium (though i know its too early to predict for 24 hours of racing, but still) and it took the delta wing out with it. So much for the entertainment. Great show by Toyota on their debut P1 year though.
money makes the cars go round
engines are there just for the sound
V10.......V8.......V6....... V none
And that's the story of Formula 1
Do all of the GTE cars have a rear camera system in them? I know Corvette racing has had it for easily 10 years and I've never seen them turn in on any faster class and cause a massive accident. (McNishs' accident last year aside, that was completely his fault) If they don't have that system, then the ACO should make it mandatory and have minimum requirements that they have to meet rather than making their own systems up. They are going to kill someone pulling crap like that if they don't either increase the speed of the P1 cars, or make a rear view camera system an absolute requirement for GT class cars. They already have a maximum cockpit temperature and they should treat the camera system the same. If it starts malfunctioning they are required to fix it or be excluded from the event.

There's a GT Porsche floating around on the Eurosport footage that has a flashing blue led in the top corner of it's windscreen. Anybody know what this is for? It's been flashing since I started watching it just before Davidson's crash.
