Agree %100 to both. Senna was almost hit from the back. How can he be penalised for that ?!? As for McLaren's stops, not need to say anything...stefan_ wrote:

I´d think an alternator overheating in a heatsoak condition (not much in terms of airflow available) is somewhat plausible but an alternator has an internal cooling fan so it may be something in the periphery (cabling?) that suffered.
as with Schumachers DRS ..i thought DRS was only available after enabling (<1sec gap)?? how come it is available when no car is in front?
Given the other incidents, they should already have done so. He was lucky in Spa not to get a ban; in Monaco the FIA were negligent not to give him a ban; for this incident, if it were isolated then a ban would be ridiculous, but given the history he needs a very stern punishment to show him that he will not keep getting away with it.zyphro wrote:Why not ban him for a race?Crucial_Xtreme wrote:Maldonado gets 10 place grid penalty for Silverstone.
And how exactly did he manage to beach the plank on the kerb with all wheels of the road?ell66 wrote:skgoa wrote:Actually no, he did not. He had two wheels back on the racetrack and both drivers were going parallel, whhen Hamilton decided to try making the apex of the upcoming corner and turned into him Maldo. Yes, Maldonado could have relented but Hamilton really couldn't expect him to. I.e. both were being stupid.
That's a bold statement, considering that the alternator broke and thus cooling had nothing to do with it.n smikle wrote: Vettel... I knew his engine was gonna go after the Safety car. THose tight sidepods don't go well with cooling.
actualy no! he had all 4 wheels off track, dont be biased.
Even under the assumption that this is true (which I am not going to challenge, knowing nothing about the Renault engine), predicting an alternator failure due to a Safety Car period only by the size of the sidepods is ridiculous.GrizzleBoy wrote:And if it overheats, parts will melt, short out creating even more current, creating even more heat and its gone.Traction wrote:
Yes...I agree...if an alternator recieves too much current it will overheat.
personally i would prefer him not to be on the grid at all!stefan_ wrote:More was needed. He should have started at the back of the grid.Crucial_Xtreme wrote:Maldonado gets 10 place grid penalty for Silverstone.

Clearly Q3 participation is not worth much todays .You can weigh up your chances and as soon as you have doubts to be a front row contender the advantage of grid position is worth nothing really compared to have a fresh set of tyres at the start and free call on which set to use..
I´m convinced Michael will win VERY soon.
To be honest when i saw 2.9 sec pitstop i was like WTF but then again they proved me wrong with another failed stop...To hell those "experimental" jacks and nuts ffs...Shrieker wrote:Agree %100 to both.
