Agree %100 to both. Senna was almost hit from the back. How can he be penalised for that ?!? As for McLaren's stops, not need to say anything...
Education is that which allows a nation free, independent, reputable life, and function as a high society; or it condemns it to captivity and poverty.

If a water cooled alternator is being used on a road car (seen on Mercedes) to extract more power from smaller size, I won't be surprised water cooling is used in an F1 car also - to reduce weight.

I´d think an alternator overheating in a heatsoak condition (not much in terms of airflow available) is somewhat plausible but an alternator has an internal cooling fan so it may be something in the periphery (cabling?) that suffered.

as with Schumachers DRS ..i thought DRS was only available after enabling (<1sec gap)?? how come it is available when no car is in front?

Why not ban him for a race?
Given the other incidents, they should already have done so. He was lucky in Spa not to get a ban; in Monaco the FIA were negligent not to give him a ban; for this incident, if it were isolated then a ban would be ridiculous, but given the history he needs a very stern punishment to show him that he will not keep getting away with it.

He had two wheels back on the racetrack and both drivers were going parallel, whhen Hamilton decided to try making the apex of the upcoming corner and turned into him Maldo. Yes, Maldonado could have relented but Hamilton really couldn't expect him to. I.e. both were being stupid.

That's a bold statement, considering that the alternator broke and thus cooling had nothing to do with it.

actualy no! he had all 4 wheels off track, dont be biased.
And how exactly did he manage to beach the plank on the kerb with all wheels of the road? Exactly, he didn't, because he was partly back on the road. He shouldn't have been there in the first place but that doesn't mean he stubbornly ran into Hamilton.
And I am biased against Igor, not Lewis. I would have loved to see Hamilton battle for victory.

Yes...I agree...if an alternator recieves too much current it will overheat.
And if it overheats, parts will melt, short out creating even more current, creating even more heat and its gone.
Even under the assumption that this is true (which I am not going to challenge, knowing nothing about the Renault engine), predicting an alternator failure due to a Safety Car period only by the size of the sidepods is ridiculous.
edit: Especially since Webber had no problem at all.

it was a touching moment for Michael it seems ..he really drove a good race today and look on what happened to Rosberg.
Clearly Q3 participation is not worth much todays .You can weigh up your chances and as soon as you have doubts to be a front row contender the advantage of grid position is worth nothing really compared to have a fresh set of tyres at the start and free call on which set to use..

I´m convinced Michael will win VERY soon.

I think Maldonado steered a lot but is was ineffective because he was lifted by the curb.

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

More was needed. He should have started at the back of the grid.
personally i would prefer him not to be on the grid at all!

how many overtakes were attempted at that corner today? quite a few i would say and only Igor's attempt ended with contact

Any explanation as to why Alonso stopped after the finish?

Did not see this one coming. At most, I thought Kimi could eke out a podium spot. And, good on Schuie. But, really feel bad for both Lewis and Sebastian. Maldonado's fast but continues to make terrible rookie decisions. You simply can't re-enter the circuit on another person's driving line. Tisk, tisk. Should've taken Kimi's lead and been a bit more patient.

Although Velencia's an interesting circuit, I really wasn't looking forward to watching this race. Such poor passing opportunities. But the Pirellis certainly made a difference in creating some interesting passing opportunities. But, then again, they also inspired some overly optimistic efforts. Love to be a fly on the wall at the next driver's meeting.

That Ferrari is no dog, but Alonso is really worth every penny for Ferrari.
